Australia’s Spam Act of 2003 regulates the practice of sending unsolicited commercial electronic messages, as well as the use of address-harvesting software. Violators are subject to civil penalties and injunctions. The Australian Spam Act entered into force on April 11, 2004, and was revised in December 2005.
